PERRY COUNTY — Drivers of Hwy. 15 near Justice Drive can expect delays starting Oct. 17. The Kentucky Department of Transportation (KDT) announced recently a project to rehabilitate the pavement on Hwy. 15.

KDT said the project will remove and replace the concrete pavement from Hwy. 15 overpass to the intersection of Justice Drive.

The work will be concentrated on and near the ramp from Hwy. 15 to Hwy. 80 starting Oct. 17. During the road work, a narrow travel lane will be set up for motorists. There will also be changing traffic patterns while the road work is being done.

The work on Hwy. 80 won’t start until Spring.

KDT expects the project to be completed by June 3o.

More than 5,500 motor vehicles use the ramp located at Hwy. 15 and around 12,000 vehicles use the affected portion of Hwy. 80, KDT reports.
