This is a synopsis of the play published by Samuel French:
“Somewhere in America, in a typical suburban restaurant on a typical night, Sam and Nicole first meet. Sparks fly. And so begins an expansive tale that traverses five generations of a modern family, from first kiss to final goodbye. A stunning, big-hearted play that spans nearly eighty years in roughly ninety minutes, The Big Meal tells the extraordinary story of an ordinary family.”
The cast members for this performance are Man 1: Richard Counts; Woman 1: Jill Robertson; Man 2: Timothy W. Deaton II; Woman 2: Fran Everage; Man 3: Jon Jon Wood; Woman 3: Heather Mullins; Girl: Chloe Craft; Boy: Jonathan Counts. Characters go by Man and Woman because each have several roles. The play is rated PG-13 for mild language.
The play is directed by Terry Thies. Little Theater, under the direction of Thies, has brought entertainment and enlightenment to Hazard for many years.
