HAZARD — The Kentucky River Regional Animal Shelter in Hazard is calling out to anyone looking for a pet to consider the kitties that are currently housed at the facility. The shelter is full and all of the rescues the shelter works with are full, as well.
For the cats in these pictures, adoption this week will do more than give them a home. It will also save their lives. According to the shelter, time is up for these cats on Oct. 29. Sadly, this is an issue the shelter often faces. When looking for a pet, the Animal Shelter is always a great place to start.
All of the cats awaiting adoption this week have been spayed and neutered. They have also been vaccinated and treated for worms and fleas. In an effort to help save these kitties, the adoption fee has been lowered to $10.
The Kentucky River Regional Animal Shelter is located at 194 Animal Shelter Lane in Hazard. The shelter can also be found on Facebook. Their telephone number is 606-439-4064, and their website is kyriveranimalshelter.com.
