Kiwanis holds Safe Halloween

HAZARD — Kiwanis held the 14th annual Safe Halloween trick or treat event Halloween night at the National Guard Armory in Hazard. And to the parents and kids that came too. More than 600 kids participated.

Save the Children distributed more than 400 books. Groups giving out candy at the event included, Mullins Law Offices. PAWS for DJ; Hometown Clinic; WYMT; Ponderosa; Bank one; Perry Co. Fiscal Court; ARH; Lions Club; Fitz Steele. State Rep.; Inez Deposit Bank; Hazard Police Dept.; Masons/Eastern Star; Hazard Fire Dept.; Challenger Center, Harmony House Bed and Breakfast; Save the Children and Hazard Kiwanis Club.
