Grand Jury hands down indictments

HAZARD — The Perry County Grand Jury handed down indictments last week.

* Sammy Watts, 42, of Hazard was indicted on one count of public intoxication, one count of illegal possession of legend drug, one count of first-degree possession of controlled substance, one count of prescription drugs not in proper container, one count of drug paraphernalia, one count of second-degree possession of a controlled substance, and one count of first-degree promoting contraband. Bail was set in the amount of $10,000 cash plus home incarceration and MCR.

* Jeremy Cavins, 33, of Louisville was indicted this month on one count of first offense theft of legend drug and one count of second-degree persistent felony offender. Bail was set in the amount of $5,000 plus MCR.

* Melissa N. Amburgery, 30, of Vicco was indicted on one count of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of theft by deception less than $500. Bail was set in the amount of $500 cash.

* Oneal Bowling, 55, of Buckhorn was indicted this month on one count of first offense cultivating marijuana five or more plants. Bail was set in the amount of $500 surety plus MCR.

* Brandon S. Fletcher, 32, of Bonnyman was indicted on one count of theft by unlawful taking or disposition more than $500. Bail was set in the amount of $5,000 cash plus home incarceration and MCR.

* Dustin B. Cox, 35, of Hazard was indicted this month on one count of second-degree burglary and one count of theft by unlawful taking more than $500. Bail was set in the amount of $10,000 cash plus MCR.

* Holly Newsome, 23, of Krypton was indicted on one count of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and one count of theft by deception less than $500. Bail was set in the amount of $5,000 cash plus MCR.

* Jonathan E. Olinger, 36, of Jacksonville, North Carolina was indicted this month on one count of first-degree robbery and one counter of tampering with physical evidence. Bail was set in the amount of $25,000 cash plus home incarceration and MCR.

* Billy Gray, 42, of Wooton was indicted on one count of theft by unlawful taking or disposition, one count of careless driving, one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and one count of first-degree persistent felony offender. Bail was set in the amount of $5,000 cash plus MCR.

* John G. Lowry, Amanda J. Campbell, and Laura Wooten, all of Busy, were indicted this month on one count of theft of services more than $500. Bail was set in the amount of $2,500 cash.

* Dustin Caudill, James Caudill, and Peggy Caudill, all of Viper, were indicted on one count of theft of services more than $500. Bail was set in the amount of $2,500 surety.
