4-H’s 1st cupcake war

Courtesy photos | 4 - H It was a sweet experience! We had five teams compete. They made their cupcakes from scratch and decorated them for the judging. Judges observed their techniques and procedures, food safe handling skills and measuring skills as well as the decorations for the theme of “Snowman”. Receiving Blue Ribbons were team members Katie Braman and Chloe Jent, team members Robert Bowling and Nicole Fugate, team members Peyton Melton and Madison Baker, team members Keely Walker and Haley Noble. Team members Ava Dixon and Laura Hanna placed first and received a chef’s hat and a hand mixer. Each team submitted six cupcakes for judging. Of these, three cupcakes per team are donated to the EKY Veterans’ Center for residents and three others were enjoyed by the judges and the audience members. Congrats and Merry Christmas to ALL!
