HAZARD — Showing support for soldiers and veterans is part of the culture in the mountains. The Perry County Ambulance Authority is continuing this tradition with a new design on one of their ambulances that many people in the area might have already noticed on the road.

The design was created by Admaxx Advertising in Hazard, and it features the message “We Support Our Troops” along with images depicting soldiers from various branches of the United States Armed Forces. Camouflage is also incorporated into parts of the design.

This is not the first ambulance to feature a special design as part of the PCAA fleet. Ambulances honoring heart awareness, cancer awareness, autism awareness and the American Flag are also in use.

Perry County Ambulance has also used grants over the past year to upgrade equipment for their first responders. More grants to further improve their ambulance services are expected in the year to come.
