Leatherwood Cheerleaders Commemorate Naval Officer

HAZARD— The Leatherwood Girls Varsity Cheerleaders displayed a picture of Mr. Edward Thomas Earhart in remembrance of September 11, 2001 during the Perry County Central Homecoming parade on Friday, September 11. Mr. Earhart, 26, of Morehead was killed as a result of the terrorist attacks during 9/11. He was a First Class Navy Petty Officer stationed at the Pentagon. His father, Thomas Earhart was a resident of the Paul E. Patton Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center in Hazard in 2003. The girls were escorted through the parade by the Cornettsville Fire Department.
