HAZARD- Community members gathered Wednesday night at the Hazard Community and Technical College in a Take Back the Night ceremony in support of victims of sexual assault.

The Rising Center, a part of Kentucky River Community Care, organized the event to raise awareness in the community about sexual assault since March is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

About 25 students and staff gathered to listen to information presented by Rising Center employees and participated in a walk and balloon release to show their support.

The Rising Center provides support services for both victims of sexual assault and their families.
