The Perry County Central Lady Commodores hosted the Knott Central Lady Patriots on Saturday. The Commodores struggled early, and came to life in the second half to pull away for the 74-49 win.

Perry Central opened a double-digit lead early, but lost center Kayla Rankin to foul trouble midway through the first period. Knott Central failed to take advantage of the change, and did not pick up their first field goal until the buzzer sounded (16-8).

The Lady Patriots began to cut away at the lead in the second period, and eventually tied the game. A buzzer-beating three-pointer by Elizabeth Gayhart sent the Lady Commodores to the locker room with the 29-26 advantage.

Rankin returned to the line up in the third period, and the Lady Commodores were off to the races. By the time the period ended, Perry Central was up 53-38.

The lead neared 35-points in the fourth period, allowing Perry Central to go to their bench. The Lady Commodores closed out the game quietly with the 74-49 win.
