The Hazard Lady Bulldogs welcomed in the Knott Central Lady Patriots on Friday. The Lady Bulldogs got off to a slow start, but picked up the pace in the second half. Unfortunately, they would not be able to complete the comeback.

Hazard was unable to find their range in the first period, and quickly fell behind by double-digits (3-14). The Lady Bulldogs hit a few shots to start the second period, and it was off to the races; but they were unable to stop the Lady Patriots, and went into the locker room trailing 16-36.

After a brief Lady Patriot rally, the Lady Bulldogs began to take control of the tempo midway through the third period (29-46). Hazard was able to cut the lead to six in the fourth quarter, but was beginning to run out of time.

The Lady Bulldogs were forced to put Knott Central on the line down the stretch. The Lady Patriots were able to make enough of their free throws to secure the 59-49 win.

Hazard (49) Maddison Niece 3, Tori Wells 13, Susie Chaney 4, Kelsi Caudill 9, Brittany Miller 6, Colbi Johnson 5, Hannah Webb 8 and Alyssa Muha 1.
