The Buckhorn Wildcats took on the Knox Central Panthers on Saturday. Neither team was able to garner more than a couple bucket lead throughout the game, with the Wildcats nipping the Panthers 64-62.

Both teams opened the game with a blistering pace, but neither could gain the advantage. The first period ended with Knox leading 12-11.

In an attempt to take the lead, Buckhorn picked up the pace in the second quarter, but it was to no avail as the period ended with a tie. This sent the Wildcats to the locker room trailing 27-28.

The Panthers got the better of the third period, and went into the final frame with a 48-44 lead. However, the final rally would belong to Buckhorn as they picked up the necessary momentum late to lift them to the 64-62 win.
