Last week, the Hazard Lady Bulldogs hosted the Harlan County Lady Black Bears. The Lady Bulldogs put up quite a fight against the Lady Black Bears, a team they had lost to by 31 early in the year, but in the end lost their battle 41-37.

Hazard was able to take advantage of Harlan County’s poor shooting in the first period, and jumped out to the 11-9 lead. In the second period, it would be the Lady Bulldogs that had shooting woes, sending them to the locker room trailing 14-21.

The Lady Bulldogs would get back on track in the third quarter, outscoring the Lady Black Bears, but would trail 28-33. Hazard just could not completely erase their deficit in the fourth quarter, coming up short 37-41 at the horn.

Hazard (37) Susie Chaney 5, Kelsi Caudill 10, Brittany Miller 13, Tori Wells 4, Hannah Webb 2 and Kellie Patrick 3.
