On Saturday, the Hazard Lady Bulldogs took on the Knott Central Lady Patriots in the Swing Break tournament at Perry Central. The Lady Bulldogs would get all the runs they would need to win the game in the first inning, and then fell back on their defense for the win.


Hazard got the better end of the first inning exchange, coming away with the 5-1 advantage. Knott Central would pick up another run in the fourth inning, but the Bulldogs would erase it in the fifth inning (6-2).


The Bulldogs would go on to win the game by the final score of 6-2.


Hazard (6) Morgan Robinson 1 hit and 1 run; Maddison Niece 2 hits and 1 run; Aaliyah Stupart 1 run; McKenzie Herald 1 hit, 2 runs, and 2 RBI; Tori Wells 1 hit and 1 run; and Lexie Griffie 2 RBI.
