The Perry County Central Commodores hosted the Buckhorn Wildcats this week in a district match up. The Commodores and Wildcats found their offense lacking, with Perry Central managing to come away with the 3-0 win.

The Commodores picked up their first runs of the game in the third inning when they touched the plate twice, and then picked up their final run in the fifth inning (3-0). From that point on, all Perry Central had to do was keep the Wildcats off the board.

Perry Central pitcher Jordan Baker was able to shutout Buckhorn with a one-hit outing, with 8 strikeouts. Buckhorn’s Richard Stidham limited the Commodores to five hits on the evening, with 6 strikeouts.

Perry Central (3) Nathan Pray 2 hits, 1 run, and 1RBI; Evan Hurt 1 hit; Jordan Baker 2 hits and 1 RBI; Dylan Wooton 1 run; and Dylan Fields 1 run.
