On Thursday, the Hazard Lady Bulldogs hosted the South Floyd Lady Raiders. The Lady Bulldogs went up early, and held off a late rally by the Lady Raiders to take the 7-5 win.

Hazard took advantage of South Floyd’s inability to put the ball over the plate to score three runs in the first inning. The Lady Bulldogs would have to wait until the fourth inning to add more runs to their tally, giving them the 5-0 advantage.

South Floyd scored all of their runs with a five run rally in the fifth inning. Hazard countered with two runs in the bottom of the frame, bring the score to 7-5 in favor of the Lady Bulldogs.

Neither team scored down the stretch, giving Hazard the 7-5 win.

Hazard (7) Alyssa Muha 1 hit; Maddison Niece 1 hit, 3 runs, and 1 RBI; Morgan Robinson 1 RBI; Aaliyah Stupart 1 run; McKenzie Herald 1 run; and Jordan Fugate 1 hit and 1 run.
