The Perry County Central Lady Commodores took on the Lee County Lady Bobcats on Friday as part of the Tim Short Chrysler Classic. The Lady Commodores would blank the Lady Bobcats 7-0 in five innings.


The Lady Commodores would score a trio of runs in each the first and second inning, giving them a 6-0 advantage. Perry Central’s final run came in the fourth inning, rounding out the 7-0 score as the game was called on time.


Perry Central (7) Whitney Evans 1 run; Shelby Sheffield 3 runs and 1 hit; Mahayla Walker 1 run, 2 hits, and 2 RBI; Lana Shepherd 1 run, 2 hits, and 2 RBI; Lauryn Fugate 1 RBI; Rachel Curry 1 RBI; Madisson Minks 1 hit; and Kim Riddle 1 run. Shelby Sheffield 5 innings, 1 hit, 1 walk, and 9 strikeouts.
