The Nationals and the Padres did battle for the final time this past week. The Padres shared the early lead, but could not stop a strong rally by the Nationals from ending the game early.


The Padres took the 2-1 lead in the first inning. The Nationals were able to reciprocate in the second inning, leaving the game tied at three.


After a scoreless third inning the game was still tied 3-all. The Nationals exploded for 11 runs in the fourth inning, bringing the game to an end 14-3.


Nationals (14) Ja. Napier 3 runs; M. Steele 2 runs; D. Browning 2 runs; N. Whitaker 1 run; M. Hensley 1 run; Je. Napier 1 run; G. Mullins 1 run; T. Day 1 run; and Olinger 2 runs.


Padres (3) L. Goins 1 run; M. Williams 1 run; and C. Davis 1 hit and 1 run.
