This weekend, the undefeated Hazard-Perry 12-year-old all-stars took on the team from Harlan. Hazard-Perry trailed early, but pulled out the 6-4 win to move on in tournament play undefeated.


By the time Hazard-Perry came to bat in the third inning, they were already trailing 3-0. At the end of the inning, they were in a new game as they tied the score at 3-all.


In the following inning, Hazard-Perry struck for three more runs giving them the 6-3 advantage. Harlan could only muster a single run down the stretch, allowing Hazard-Perry to take the 6-4 win.


Hazard-Perry (6) Dustin Fields 1 hit and 1 run; Wade Pelfrey 1 hit; Braxton Amburgey 1 run; Andrew Ford 1 hit and 1 run; Jarrett Napier 2 runs; Jacob Blank 1 hit and 1 run; and Donavan Stidham 1 hit.


Harlan (4) Antonio Roman 1 run; Jay Harris 1 run; Jacob Thompson 2 hits and 1 run; Layne Jones 2 hits; Shane Hagle 1 hit; and Matt Brown 1 run.
