This weekend, the Hazard-Perry Blue team (9- and 10-year-olds) played for a spot in the district tournament. They already had a loss on their record, and another would mean a trip home.

Hazard-Perry fell behind 2-4 in the first inning, and by the end of the third inning, they were trailing 9-4. They were able to tie the game with a five-run rally in the fourth inning (9-all).

In the fifth inning, Harlan went back on top 12-9. Hazard-Perry put together a six-run rally in the final inning, and settled in to stop a Harlan counter rally at one run. Hazard-Perry moved into the district tournament with the 15-13 win.
