JULIAN — Detectives with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office made two arrests Wednesday evening, Oct. 16, 2013, on US 119.


Arrested were Regan Michael Cook, 27, and Emily A. Arbogast, 25, both of South Madison.


Deputies made a routine traffic stop on the pair in the Julian area. They couple was traveling back into Boone County.


Deputies located a large bag of marijuana hidden behind a child safety seat inside the vehicle.


“To officer’s dismay, the couple’s toddler was strapped inside of the car seat which was used to conceal the illegal drugs,” said Boone County Chief Deputy Chad Barker.


Both adults were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, child neglect creating a substantial risk of injury and conspiracy, all of which are felonies.


As of press time, the two were awaiting arraignment before Magistrate Snodgrass
