A boil water advisory was issued this week affecting approximately 15 water customers in the Ten Mile section of Perry County.
Hazard City Manager Carlos Combs issued the advisory Monday morning following a waterline break in the Ten Mile community, resulting in the possibility of bacterial contamination in the affected area.
According to a release from City Hall, the advisory includes 15 meters. Customers in the area are advised to boil their water before use until the advisory can be lifted. Once the break is repaired, samples will be tested to ensure threat of contamination has been eliminated.
