HAZARD- Some residents in Perry County were without power Sunday for almost an hour.

According to Ronn Robinson with American Electric Power (AEP),the outage affected mainly businesses in the area.

“We did have an outage yesterday, it affected 641 customers, and this was along the Bonnyman area, Walmart, Hal Rogers area,” he said. “It was out about 43 minutes.”

Robinson stated that the outage was a result of some switching and transmission work in the Bonnyman area substation and was not the result of any area forest fires.
