On Tuesday, the Perry County Central Commodores hosted the Letcher Central Cougars. The two got in nearly a full half of play before lightning called a halt to the contest.

Perry Central was able to break down the Letcher Central defense first, scoring the one and only goal of the game. Tyler Mullins took a low shot on goal that managed to skip through the goalies legs for the 1-0 lead.

With a few minutes remaining in the first half, lightning struck, putting the game on hold. Before the grace period was over, lightning struck again, bringing the game to a halt. Since the game is a district match-up, it will be finished at a later date.
