The Perry County Central Lady Commodore volleyball team opened the 54th district tournament last week. Their opponent in the first round would be the Leslie County Eagles.

The Lady Commodores looked good in the first game, keeping it close throughout. However, they would not have enough in the end, falling 25-21.

The Lady Eagles’ victory in game one put the momentum in their court. The Lady Commodores battled hard early to regain the momentum, but again fell short 25-16.

Perry Central would not be able to put up much of a fight in game three as they fell behind early. The Lady Commodores would fall out of the tournament behind a 25-9 loss (3-0).
