Late last week, the Hazard Bulldogs took to the road for a baseball game with Shelby Valley. The Bulldogs used a consistent offensive barrage to down the Wildcats 10-3.


Shelby Valley held the early lead as they took the 1-0 lead in the first inning. Hazard reciprocated in the second to tie the score. They then went up 3-1 in the third, but gave up a run in the bottom of the frame to end with the 3-2 advantage.


At that point it would be all Bulldogs. Hazard scored in one run increments from the fourth through sixth innings, setting the score at 9-2. They traded runs in the seventh, giving the Bulldogs the 10-3 win.


Coby Cumbow got the win on the mound, going seven innings with 10 hits, 3 runs, 1 walk and 7 strikeouts.
