Last week, Hazard traveled to Knox County to take on the Panthers. The Bulldogs took the early lead, but could not hold on as the Panthers ran out to the 7-4 lead.


The Bulldogs went on top 1-0 in the first inning, but then fell victim to a Panther barrage. Knox County then scored six runs over the next three innings to take the 6-1 advantage.


Hazard cut the led to 6-3 in the fifth inning, but gave up another run in the bottom of the inning (7-3). The Bulldogs rounded out their scoring in the seventh inning, but could not complete the comeback (7-4).


Ryan Smith went 2.67 innings with 5 hits, 5 runs, 5 walks and 2 strikeouts. J.T. Haynes went 3.33 innings with 7 hits, 2 runs, 2 walks and 4 strikeouts.


Hazard (4) J.T. Haynes 2 runs and 2 hits; Ryan Smith 2 runs and 1 hit; Griffin Wells 1 hit and 2 RBI; Josh Meehan 2 hits and 1 RBI; and Cole Ratliff 1 hit.
