On Saturday, the Hazard Bulldogs took on the Cordia Lions in a late match up. It would be the Bulldogs’ third game of the day.


The first inning ended with a 1-all tie. It would be the last time the Lions would threaten the Bulldogs’ lead.


Hazard went up 4-1 in the third inning, and 9-1 in the third. Cordia would rally in the bottom of the inning to bring the score to 9-5.


The Bulldogs went on a roll in the second half of the game, scoring ten more runs, including a six run rally in the fifth inning. The Lions were unable to keep pace, and Hazard went on to win the game by the final count of 19-7.


Ryan Smith got the win, while the save went to Coby Cumbow. Both struck out five.
