The Perry County Central Commodores took on the Jackson City Tigers early last week. The Commodores took the early lead, but could not hold off the Tigers. They would have to rely on a late run to seal the victory (4-3).


Perry Central was able to score a run in the first inning, but gave the run back in the third. The Commodores inched back ahead with a run in the bottom of the frame (2-1).


The Commodores would trail for the first time in the game when Jackson City scored twice in the fourth inning (2-3). Perry Central would tie the game in the bottom of the inning, and eventually win the game with a run in the sixth inning (4-3).


Perry Central (4) Nathan Pray 2 hits and 1 run; Evan Hurt 1 run; Austin Neace 1 RBI; Jaden Combs 1 hit; Braxton Cottongame 2 hits and 1 run; Ronnie Long 1 hit; and Dylan Fields 1 hit and 1 run.
