On Saturday, the Perry County Central Lady Commodores traveled to Berea to participate in the Lady Pirate Invitational volleyball tournament. The Lady Commodores played four matches in the tournament, and came away with the title without dropping a game.

In the first game, the Lady Commodores took on Sayre, and came away with the 2-0 win. Perry Central took the first game 25-14 and the second 25-17.

Game two saw Perry Central take on a familiar foe in the Middlesboro Lady Yellowjackets. The Lady Commodores defeated the Lady Yellowjackets 25-16 and 25-17.

The Lady Commodores took on the host team Berea in their third match. Perry Central swept through the match with 25-14 and 25-19 wins.

In the championship game, Perry Central took on West Carter. This would prove to be the toughest of the day, with the Lady Commodores taking the match 25-20 and 25-17.
