I am a volunteer at KET, Kentucky’s statewide public television network. I volunteer my time there because, for years, my family and I have enjoyed the diverse, engaging programming, and services KET provides. I want to take part in the passing those things on to others in my community. Quite simply, KET is where learning comes to life.
KET produces programming that focuses on Kentucky and keeps us informed on public affairs, arts, health, and education in the Commonwealth. From educational services such as Everyday Learning, PBS Learning Media, and Fast Forward GED Credentialing to legislative coverage and weekly public affairs programs to Kentucky Life, The Local Traveller, and Kentucky Collectibles — nobody puts the emphasis on Kentucky that KET does.
KET also delivers outstanding national programming, including Antiques Roadshow, Masterpiece, Nova, American Experience, Frontline and the many award-winning, non-violent, commercial-free children’s programs that parents know they can trust.
For all of these reasons, I support KET and urge others to do the same. There’s no better time to show your support for life-long learning than during KET’s upcoming TeleFund 2017, March 4-19. You’ll feel proud to be a supporter of KET, knowing that you’re helping to keep great programs and services available for all Kentuckians.
