VIPER — One person is dead and two others injured following a head-on collision on Highway 7 in Perry County.
Police and EMS were called to the scene near Slabtown Hollow just before noon on Wednesday, following a report of a head-on collision with injuries. Witnesses on the scene stated that the driver of a black Geo Tracker had veered into the oncoming lane. The Tracker struck a brown older model Ford truck, with two passengers inside.
All three victims were trapped in the vehicles until rescue crews arrived. Helicopters were called for all of those in the accident, but due to weather only one was able to fly. One male was later confirmed dead.
No names have been released at this time, and the two victims’ conditions at this time are unknown.
