A boil water advisory has been issued for several water customers living in the Big Creek community of Perry County.
Hazard City Manager Carlos Combs issued the advisory Thursday morning, which notes that a waterline break has resulted in the possibility of bacterial contamination in the affected area at Whitaker Fork. Approximately 50 customers are included in the advisory.
The advisory will remain in effect until the threat of contamination has been removed.
