She was born in Hazard, the daughter of the late Jakie Melton and the late Anna King Melton. She was a lifelong resident of Perry County and was also preceded in death by her brother, Jess Melton.
She is survived by her husband, Clonnie Caudill of Hazard; son Jackie Caudill of Morehead; daughter Cheryl Caudill of Hazard; brothers Mike Melton of Brownsfork, Eugene Melton, Roscoe Melton and Gerald Melton, all of Hazard; sisters Sandra Johnson, Georgia Napier, and Lelia Couch, all of Hazard.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 2 at 2 p.m. at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home of Hazard with Johnny Ambrose officiating. The burial will follow in the Melton Cemetery located at Brownsfork. The Visitation will be at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
