After capturing the 14th Region title the week before, the Perry County Central Commodores participated in the opening round of the state playoffs last week as they traveled to Corbin to take on the Redhounds on Tuesday, Oct. 23.

The Commodores game out tight, and fell behind early. By the time the game reached the half, they trailed 3-0.

Perry Central’s defense clamped down on Corbin in the second half and held them scoreless. The Commodores, however, could only muster on goal in the second half. Spencer Logan picked up a break-away goal, setting the final score at 3-1.
