On Friday, the Perry County Central Commodores hit the road for Jackson and a game with the Breathitt County Bobcats. The Bobcats set the tone early, but could not stop a determined Commodore team from stealing the momentum and the win.

Breathitt County got off to a good start and held the lead early. Perry Central used their defense to swing the momentum to their favor and eventually take the lead. At the end of the first period, the Commodores held the 18-14 lead.

The pace picked up in the second period, with the Bobcats moving back in the lead. Again, the Commodores clamped down on the defensive end and regained the lead. A small run at the end of the half sent Perry Central to the locker room with the 40-31 advantage.

Despite a strong effort by Breathitt County to get back in the game, Perry Central stood their ground and held on to the lead. The Commodores were able to extend their lead, and went into the fourth quarter with the 57-42 lead.

The Commodores had more than enough points to win the game as the fourth quarter began, and were content to let the game end without any excitement. Perry Central worked the clock to perfection and ended the game with a convincing 71-54 win.
