LEXINGTON – ESPN College GameDay is coming back to a Kentucky men’s basketball game. For the fourth time in program history the ESPN College GameDay tour will visit Kentucky’s historic Rupp Arena for a weekly installment of the popular college basketball preview show. ESPN has selected the Missouri at Kentucky matchup on Feb. 23, 2013 to highlight during the upcoming season.

The conference game between Kentucky and Missouri is slated for a 9 p.m. tip on ESPN. The show will air live at 11 a.m. and again later that night at 8 p.m., leading into the opening tip.

Since Gameday’s inception during the 2004-05 season, ESPN has featured the Wildcats seven total times including this year’s upcoming appearance. This will mark Missouri’s second overall appearance in its school’s history.

GameDay last visited Rupp Arena during the 2009-10 season during head coach John Calipari’s inaugural season with the Wildcats. The Kentucky faithful set a new single-show attendance record with more than 22,000 fans in attendance for the 11 a.m. airing. The Blue and White own a 3-0 record on days when it is featured by the GameDay crew under Calipari’s direction.

The show stopped in Nashville, Tenn,, a season ago to feature Kentucky’s matchup with Vanderbilt in early February. In three of UK’s six previous appearances the Wildcats have faced Florida, with the other meetings coming against Vanderbilt (2012), Tennessee (2010) and Mississippi State (2005).
