Geneva Simpson, 82, of Hazard, passed away on Wednesday, February 23 at the Hazard ARH medical center.

She was retired from HA Spalding Engineers where she was a secretary, treasurer and vice president for 43 years. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hazard.

The daughter of the late Chester Ross and the late Bertie Ross, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Ross.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Simpson; daughter Sally Spaulding and husband Hank; son Charley Simpson, Jr. and wife Kimberly; sisters Irene Blair and Jeannette New; grandchildren Angela Haney, Carrie Combs, Skyler Fugate and Dan Spaulding along with seven great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard where the family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, February 25. A memorial service will follow with Rev. Ellen Peach officiating.
