Hazard opens All ‘A’ with win over Owsley

The Hazard Bulldogs started their quest for the All “A” region title on the road at Owsley County. The Bulldogs jumped out to a big early lead, and then coasted to the easy win.

Before the first period reached the midway point, the Bulldogs had notched a double-digit lead. Hazard finished the period with a 19-3 lead.

Hazard went to their bench in the second period, allowing Owsley County to keep pace. The Bulldogs, however, were able to hold onto their lead. Going into the break, Hazard held the 37-22 advantage.

The Bulldogs added to their lead in the third period, and went into the final eight minutes ahead 50-30. Hazard finished the game strong, and moved on in tournament play with the 71-46 win.
