Jerry Engle, 41, died on Tuesday, May 29 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

He was born on July 11, 1971 in Hyden, Ky., the son of James and Geniev Engle Davidson. He was a security guard by occupation and a life-long resident of Perry County.

He is survived by his parents; son Peyton Engle of Busy; daughters Nicole Engle and Jerrica Engle, both of Busy; step brothers Jimmy Davidson and wife Mona of Central City, Ky., Mike Davidson and wife Lillie Mae of Buckhorn, and Huey Davidson and wife Tammy of Wisconsin; uncles Don Engle of Breathitt County and Rick Engle and wife Denise of Loveland, Ohio. A host of cousins and other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were on Friday June 1 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home of Hazard with Rev. Merill David Collins officiating. The interment followed in the Campbell Cemetery located at Campbell’s Creek.
