Perry Central could not find their rhythm in the first period, and quickly found themselves in a hole. At the end of the first period, the Lady Commodores trailed 19-10.
The Lady Commodores began to pick up the pace in the second period, shaving a few points off their deficit. The Lady Purples retaliated with a run of their own, and went into the locker room with the 37-27 lead.
Perry Central came out of the locker room fired up, and continued to keep the game within striking distance. Going into the final period, the margin stood at eight (50-42).
The Lady Commodores ran out of steam in the fourth quarter, allowing the Lady Purples to extend their lead. Bowling Green went on to win the game by the final score of 61-47, hanging the first loss of the year on the Lady Commodores.
