On Wednesday, the Hazard Lady Bulldogs hosted the Jackson City Lady Tigers in volleyball action. The Lady Bulldogs got off to a slow start, but picked up the pace to sweep the Lady Tigers.
The contest went back and forth early in game one. But, midway through the Lady Bulldogs began to assert themselves and pulled away. Hazard went on to win the gam 25-19.
Game two would offer little competition for Hazard. The Lady Bulldogs began the contest with the lead, and pulled away to collect the 25-9 win, and the match.
Hazard stats: Sarah Pratt 18 assists and 1 block, Maddison Niece 12 kills, 6 aces and 1 dig, Paige Williams 2 kills and 1 ace, Lindsey Branson 2 kills and 1 assist, Marjorie Hammonds 6 kills, 1 dig and 10 aces, Hannah Keenan 1 kill and 2 digs, Andrea Stidham 1 dig and 1 ace and Ellen Chadwell 1 dig.
