The Perry County Central Lady Commodores traveled to Powell County this weekend to participate in the Tanner Dodge Classic. The Lady Commodores, minus their seniors, hit a little hard luck as they went 0-3 in the tournament.

In the first game, the Lady Commodores took on East Carter. Perry Central could only muster a single run in the fourth inning. East Carter scored two runs three times in the game to take the 6-1 win.

In the second game, Perry Central took on Rowan County. The Lady Commodores took the early 1-0 lead, and by the midway point, they held the 3-2 advantage.

By the time the Lady Commodores took their final at-bat, they were up 5-4. However, they could not hold off Rowan County and fell 7-5.

In their final game, Perry Central took on George Rogers Clark. The two teams battled back and forth throughout, with George Rogers Clark making the final rally to win the game.

Perry Central took the early 2-0 lead, but allowed the Lady Cardinals to tie the game. George Rogers Clark then took the 5-2 lead in the second inning. By the midway point, the Lady Commodores trailed 7-3.

Perry Central would not go away, and they finally tied the game at seven in the seventh inning. George Rogers Clark rallied for a single run in the bottom of the inning to take the 8-7 win.
