On Saturday, the Perry County Central Lady Commodores traveled to Lexington to participate in the Defender Classic held at Bryan Station. The Lady Commodores took on the Henry Clay Lady Blue Devils in the Classic.

The Lady Commodores' defense set the tone in the first quarter. Perry Central was able to use their press to set up a transition game. At the end of the first period, the Lady Commodores held the 22-5 lead.

The barrage continued in the second period as Perry Central's lead continued to grow. Going into the intermission, the Lady Commodores held a 45-20 advantage.

The Lady Commodores continued to turn up the heat in the third period, and Perry Central posted their best offensive numbers of the game. Going into the fourth quarter, the Lady Commodores held a 79-27 lead.

Perry Central went to the end of the bench for the fourth quarter, and Henry Clay was able to put their best numbers on the board. However, it could do little to avoid the loss as the Lady Commodores went on to win the game by the final count of 80-41.
