Linda Lou Howard, 60, of Hazard, died Saturday, November 27 at the Hazard ARH medical center.

She was retired from KMart where she worked as the jewelry manager. She was the daughter of the late Lillie Stamper Howard and the late Frank Howard, and was also preceded in death by brothers Brunice Howard, Bobby Howard, Roy Scott Howard and Truman Howard, and grandchild Braden Smith.

She is survived by her son, Gregory Shade Smith and wife Alicia; sisters Anna Ruth Stacy, Brenda Kay Hughes and Mary Gail Browning; brother Frank Howard, Jr. and special grandchildren Robert "Robbie" Shade Smith and Jaden Blyne Smith.

Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, November 29. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 30 with Densmore Goodson officiating. Interment will be at Bush Cemetery in Pigeon Roost.
