Late last week, the James River Coal Yankees and the M & D Electric Reds took to the diamond. The Yankees wasted little time taking control of the game, and finished strong for the 30-8 win.
The game started with the Yankees taking a small lead 4-1 after one inning. The Yankees then exploded for 10 runs in the second inning, giving them the 14-2 advantage.
The Reds mounted a comeback in the third inning, scoring four times (15-6). The Yankees, however, counted by doubling their score in the fourth inning (30-6). The Reds could do little to keep the game alive in the bottom of the inning as the Yankees took the 30-8 win.
