The Yankees and the Cardinals hooked up for a wild game on the little league field last week. The Yankees put a big inning together to start the game, and held off several small rallies down the stretch to win the game.

The Yankees put eight runs on the board in the first inning, while the Cardinals could only muster one (8-1). The Cardinals added another run in the third inning (8-2).

The fourth inning saw the Yankees score three times, while the Cardinals had to wait to the fifth inning for their rally (11-4). The final inning saw the Cardinals outscore the Yankees 4-2, but it would not be enough to erase their deficit. The Yankees went on to win the game by the final tally of 13-8.

Yankees (13)

W. Pelfrey 2 hits and 2 runs, B. Blair 1 run, S. Pelfrey 1 run, B. Cottongame 2 runs, C. Stacy 2 runs, T. Spurlock 3 runs, and M. Grigsby 2 runs.

Cardinals (8)

K. Stamper 1 run, J. Woolum 2 runs, C. Sizemore 1 hit (HR) and 3 runs, K. Whitaker 1 run and Kenton Noble 1 run.
