The Mountain Songwriters Night Coffee House Performance will be Friday, April 27, at 6:30 p.m. in the HCTC First Federal Center.

The HCTC Greater Hazard Area Performing Arts Series, in partnership with the Kentucky School of Bluegrass & Traditional Music (KSBTM) and the HCTC Spring Writers Conference, is proud to once again present a Mountain Songwriters Night. Songwriters and singers associated with the KSBTM program will be selected to perform some of their original songs. The evening will also feature songwriter/singer Richard Bennett, formerly with J.D. Crowe & The New South. The Mountain Songwriters Night provides a great evening of entertainment, and a wonderful opportunity to hear some of the best songwriters and musicians in the region and the stories behind their songs.

Series grand benefactors are: City of Hazard, Peoples Bank and Trust, Pine Branch Coal, Perry Distributors, Hampton Inn and Suites, Whitaker Bank, and Hazard Lions Club.

The Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, supports the series with state tax dollars and federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Event sponsors are First Federal Savings and Loan, First Trust Bank, and the HCTC KSBTM.
