She was the daughter of McKinley Smith and the late Carrie Stacy Smith. She was also preceded in death by brothers Herbert, Alex, and McKinley Smith, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Combs; daughter Edith and David Patterson; sons James and Debbie Combs and Malcolm Combs; sisters Pearlie Smith and Alma Kelly; brother Jim Smith; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard where the family received friends on Saturday, January 30. The funeral services followed with James Daniels and Sam Fields officiating. Burial was at Resthaven Cemetery located at Jeff.
