Two Perry County residents have been announced as candidates for 2012 Kentucky Mountain Laurel Festival Princess.

Alexandria Kaitlyn Noble and Aileexandria Laiken Sandlin will each be competing in the festival in Pineville May this week.

Noble is the daughter of Sherry and Jerry Noble of Hazard, and will represent Buckhorn High School during the princess coronation. Her escort will be Dalton Bennett, son of Jeff and Kim Helton of Pineville.

Sandlin is the daughter of David and Michaelle Sandlin of Hazard, and has been chosen to represent Hazard High School. Her escort will be Trevin Kyle Spencer, son of Dr. Donnie Spencer and Reda Slone of Bulan.

The princess coronation will be held on Friday, May 25 at 8:30 pm. I the Pineville High School gymnasium.
